2020 would have been a whole lot more fun if Corona was in a bottle with a lime, not closing businesses down and causing world-wide panic... but I digress.
Every business has handled it differently, so here's what we've done (in case you're curious).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following precautions and procedures apply to all The Roof and Gutter Guys
(TRGG), management, and staff on all job sites.
Sanitation and Cleanliness:
TRGG shall provide, maintain, and require employees utilize the following on all job sites:
TRGG crews will not use on-site restrooms. All employees will be required to use the restroom off site.
Workers are encouraged to leave their workstations to wash their hands regularly, before and after going to the bathroom, before and after eating and after coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose, etc.
Workers are encouraged to wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as shared tools and doorknobs, cover the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, as well as other hygienic recommendations by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
TRGG will provide a personal supply of disinfectants to each worker and ensure cleaning supplies are available to them and frequently replenished.
TRGG will supply each worker with masks and gloves, and require each worker to use on-site. This policy will be strictly enforced by routine inspections by the site safety inspector.
TRGG will require crews to frequently clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces on job sites and in offices, such as shared tools, machines, vehicles and other equipment, handrails, doorknobs, and portable toilets. If these areas cannot be cleaned and disinfected frequently, the job site shall be shut down until such measures can be achieved and maintained.
If an employee reports feeling sick and goes home, the area where that person worked should be immediately disinfected.
Social Distancing:
Social distancing of at least 6 feet of separation must be maintained by every employee on the worksite at all times.
Any time two or more persons must meet, they must ensure minimum 6 feet of separation.
TRGG will identify “choke points” and “high-risk areas” on job sites where workers typically congregate and control them so social distancing is always maintained. These areas include stairwells and walkways. When work is being performed in these areas, “Red” Caution tape and or barriers and signage will be used to prevent worker, resident interaction of less than 6 feet.
TRGG will minimize interactions when picking up or delivering equipment or materials, and ensure the minimum 6- foot separation. Gloves and mask will be used in all cases where the 6-foot rule cannot be enforced.
Exposure Control:
The Roof and Gutter Guys (TRGG) will maintain, provide and complete the following on each jobsite.
TRGG will conduct a Covid-19 site specific safety meeting prior to work, beginning on site and once a week on a continual basis.
TRGG will appoint and train one Covid-19 safety supervisor that will be on site all day to continuously enforce the use of the Covid-19 safety protocol by all workers.
TRGG will conduct daily Covid-19 screening of all on site employees that will include a Covid-19 specific questionnaire and daily sign in sheet. No worker will be allowed to work onsite if they report any Covid-19 symptoms. Any worker sent home with symptoms will be required to provide a doctor’s note before being allowed to return to on-site work.
The Covid-19 site safety plan and all of the following policies will be posted at location selected by management for workers to review as needed.
If you have any questions or will require further steps from our teams while on site, please let us know and we will be glad to help.
Stay safe and don't forget to sing happy birthday twice when washing your hands,
The Roof and Gutter Guys Family
